Dr Antonietta Panzera
BDSc (Melb)
Antonietta graduated as a dentist from the University of Melbourne in 1992 and has many years of experience providing dental care in both private and public settings.
Antonietta joined the Melbourne Dental Clinic as a Clinical Teaching Instructor (Dentist) in 2018 and continues to work as a dentist in private practice as well.
She enjoys her role at MDC, especially giving back to the profession by supervising the next generation of clinicians as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of dentistry.
In her spare time Antonietta enjoys spending time with her family, reading and gardening.
Dr Katharine Dal Santo

Katharine completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Sydney in 2016 having previously completed her Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Melbourne in 2009. She has worked in both public and private clinics across Melbourne as a dentist and an oral health therapist.
After experiencing a traumatic water-skiing accident when she was a teenager, Katharine underwent root canal treatment. Her childhood dentist provided such a positive experience that she wanted to do the same. Thanks to this experience Katharine began her journey into dentistry.
Katharine enjoys all areas of dentistry and especially loves ensuring that children have a fun and positive first experience in the dental chair, setting them up to have a good oral health routine for life.
Alongside her role at the Melbourne Dental Clinic, Katharine is a Senior Lecturer in General Dentistry at the Melbourne Dental School where she coordinates clinical and academic teaching for second year dental students.
Outside of work, you’ll find Katharine playing hockey, walking her dog and getting immersed in a good jigsaw puzzle.
Dr Jason Rerksirathai
BDSc (Hons.) (Melb.)
Jason Rerksirathai was educated and raised in Melbourne. He completed the Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours at the University of Melbourne in 2009.
In more than a decade of general practice, Jason has been fortunate enough to work within a range of different private practices within metropolitan Melbourne, including the practices of prominent leaders within the profession. He has an interest teaching the art and science of dentistry and enjoys being a part of shaping the next generation of dental professionals.
Jason has training and experience working within organisations in the health sector, including completion of Leadership Victoria’s Health Sector Leadership program, as well as being an active member of the Australian Dental Association, currently serving on the Victorian Branch’s Finance, Risk and Audit committee.
Dr Mark Bowman
BSc Dentisty (University of Melbourne)
Dr Mark Bowman is a graduate of Melbourne Dental School, University of Melbourne 1981. He ran his own busy general practice for 40 years with focus on conservative care for all ages. In 2013 with the commencement of accreditation of dental practices in Australia the practice was accredited, and this was maintained until the sale of the practice in 2021. He is a Clinical teacher at University of Melbourne’s, Melbourne Dental Clinic. Conservative patient focused care is his passion. He has also maintained activities outside his general practice. He has participated in volunteer aid teams in India and Vietnam.

Dr Kamalin Chetty
BChD (UP) PD Implantology (UWC)
Dr Kamalin Chetty graduated as a dentist in 2005. His areas of practice include general and restorative dentistry, endodontics, dentures and dental implants, with a particular focus on cosmetic dentistry, such as porcelain and composite veneers, Digital Smile Design, and Invisalign.
Dr Chetty adopts a patient-centred approach to the dental practice. He recognises that visiting the dentist may be stressful and, there fore, appreciates the importance of relatable and personable whilst providing a high level of clinical and surgical care to his patients.
Dr Chetty is committed to continuously providing the best care for his patients by staying abreast of the latest developments within the dental profession.
Outside of dentistry, Kamalin enjoys spending time with his family and is a sports fanatic with a passion for cricket, soccer and tennis.
Dr Alanna Tanner
BSc DDS (University of Melbourne)
Dr Alanna Tanner was born and raised in Melbourne, pursuing a career in dentistry after completing a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. When the Melbourne Dental Clinic was first established, Dr Alanna Tanner was one of the first cohorts to train at MDC. Since completing her Doctor of Dental surgery with the University of Melbourne Dr Tanner has been working in a suburban family practice since 2014.
Dr Tanner enjoys many facets of dentistry and actively maintains continuous education, in order to increase her knowledge in the dental industry. Dr Tanner completed the Progressive Orthodontic Training with honours, takes a special interest in TMJ treatment (jaw-joint pain) and enjoys helping her patients achieve their dream smile. She enjoys interacting and treating patients of all ages, whilst delivering optimal treatment outcomes guided by evidence-based practice. Dr Tanner’s pharmacological background and further clinical training enable her to provide nitrous sedation “happy gas” to assist anxious patients during their visits to the clinic.
Outside of dentistry Dr Tanner enjoys spending time family, friends and her dog Max, a beagle crossed with a pug.
Dr Kartik Kalambi
BSc (Otago) BDS ADC (cert)
Dr. Kartik began his professional journey through the world of dentistry after graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2017. Prior to that, he completed a degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Otago in New Zealand.
His approach to dentistry relies on breaking down fears, cultivating trust and forming lasting relationships with his patients. His focus is on prevention and minimal intervention dentistry, to help each patient achieve the highest levels of dental health and well-being. He believes in treating the patient as a whole and addressing the root cause of the issues.
With Dr. Kartik, your comfort & experience is put first. He likes to ensure that you are made aware of all your treatment options & provides you with up-to-date information to make the best decision for your oral health. Feel free to ask him any questions as he would love to answer your queries!
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kartik works in disability support on weekends. He also enjoys playing basketball, bike riding & exploring Melbourne’s amazing restaurants with his wife.

Dr Andrew Gikas
BDSc, FADI, FPFA, FICD, MAICD
Dr Andrew Gikas is a graduate of the University of Melbourne’s, Melbourne Dental School class of 1991.
Andrew ran his own practice in Oakleigh for 25 years with a focus on general dental practice, quality service and patient focused care. He has a strong interest in oral health promotion, teaching, dental sleep medicine and has been involved in lecturing and clinical research in sleep.
He runs a Dental Sleep Medicine oral appliance clinic for public patients at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and a private clinic at MDC.
As well as working part time as a dentist Andrew is involved in a number of professional activities outside of clinical practice. He is a Clinical Teacher at the University Of Melbourne’s – Melbourne Dental Clinic, sits on the Board of the Australasian Sleep Association as the Conference Chair, is a councillor at the Australian Dental Association Federally and the Victorian Branch and is a Past President of the state branch.
His passions are all aspects of general dentistry, dental sleep medicine and footy.

Farrah Mohommad
Clinic Manager
Farrah joined MDC as a qualified dental assistant when it was founded in 2013. Over that time, she has grown and developed, and took on the role of Clinic Manger in 2019. Farrah manages the day-to-day operations of the clinic to ensure patient outcomes are at the forefront of everything we do. Farrah always enjoyed going to the dentist as a child and was inspired to pursue a career in dentistry by her older sister who also works in the field. She can’t imagine working with anything but people and smiles! Helping patients feel confident about their dental care by providing a calm atmosphere and getting to know them on a personal level is the most satisfying part of her role at MDC. Outside of dentistry, Farrah is also as a qualified make-up artist and happily shares any tips and tricks with the team. To relax, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the movies, shopping, socialising, and spending time with her dogs Milo and Luna.

Mr Shiva Subramaniam

Mr Shiva Subramaniam was born and raised in Perth, WA. He completed Dentistry at the University of Western Australia and his medical degree at the University of Melbourne. Following medical school, his specialty Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical (FRACDS OMS) training was completed in Victoria, where he was awarded the prestigious Australian & New Zealand Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, gold medal for achieving the highest mark in the specialist examination.
He then spent a further 2 years in subspecialty training in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction, including 1 year at one of the highest volume units in Europe: the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland. During this time, he completed the UK and Ireland Specialty examination via the Royal College of Surgeons, where he was once again awarded the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Gold Medal for achieving the highest mark in the examination across the United Kingdom and Ireland, making him the only surgeon to win both the Australia/New Zealand and UK/Ireland medals.
He is currently working as a consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. His clinical interests include wisdom teeth, dental implants (including zygomatic implants), orthognathic surgery, benign and malignant pathology of the head and neck, salivary gland disease, facial trauma, skin cancer and free tissue transfer/microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck. He is fully credentialed by the RACDS for subspecialty practice in Head & Neck Oncology and Reconstruction.
