Our Fees Explained

The Melbourne Dental Clinic (MDC) has three services – two are student based with clinical specialist supervision and the third service is a general practice with fully qualified and dentists.

Fees for the Student General Dental Service are generally lower than the average Australian Dental Association’s published annual fees (ADA Average Rate). This is in recognition that the student service is sometimes slower than a normal service and that it is set within an education environment. Be assured that these graduate students are in their final year and are supervised by fully qualified registered and experienced dentists and dental specialists.

A 15% discount applies to University of Melbourne Staff and Alumni and tertiary students from any University at the Student General Dental Service.

Fees for the Post Graduate Specialist Dental Service (orthodontic, periodontic, endodontic, paediatric or prosthodontic) are also generally lower than the average specialist clinic rate. Please note these students are postgraduate and are qualified, AHPRA registered and experienced dentists.

The fees for our General Practice are set at standard Melbourne metro rates and are generally aligned with the average ADA fees. Our General Practice is enhanced by its location in central Melbourne, in a world class facility and with the accumulated knowledge of all the latest research and techniques from the University of Melbourne.
